Eco-Teacher of the Year 2024
Eco-Schools is pleased to invite you to participate in the “Eco-Teacher of the Year 2024” competition!
By achieving the prestigious, internationally recognised Green Flag Award, your school has demonstrated a dedicated commitment to promoting Climate Action and an Environmental Ethos, not only within your school but the wider community. This work cannot be achieved without hardworking and passionate teachers and school staff, and this is your opportunity to celebrate them with us.
How to enter:
Pupils, school staff, and members of the community are invited to explain why their teacher, classroom assistant, or other school staff member should be awarded “Eco-Teacher of the Year 2024.”
- How has your nominee helped their school to be more environmentally friendly?
- What environmental projects, events, activities, etc. has your nominee led at the school?
- In what ways has your nominee inspired or motivated the school community to take action to improve their local environment?
- Describe the impact your nominee has had on their school and community through their environmental work.
You can submit your nomination in any format, whether that be in the form of a poem, letter, storyboard, essay, photos, video or whatever way best answers the question. Written entries should be no more than 250 words and video entries should be no more than 5 minutes.
The deadline for the competition is the Friday 12th April 2024.
The winning teacher and some pupils will be invited to the Eco-Schools annual awards in June 2024 to receive their award. Please ensure that the teacher that you nominate can be released on that day.
