The Young Reporters for the Environment (YRE) programme invites young people between the ages of 11 and 25 to report on environmental issues such as climate change, biodiversity and pollution through articles, photographs, short documentaries, podcasts, and even TikTok videos.

To participate in the YRE National Competition, follow the steps outlined in our Guidance Notes document below.

The 1^st place winner of each category in Northern Ireland is recognised at their local Green Flag Awards Ceremony and their work is published and submitted to the YRE International Competition.
