Energy Saving Week

Energy Saving Week is from Monday 18 November to Friday 22 November 2024. 

Energy Saving Trust, in partnership with the Housing Executive, is excited to announce the return of the annual energy saving schools challenge for November 2024! We encourage schools to participate P1—Yr9, empowering students with practical tips to save energy at home and reduce their carbon footprint.

Pupils that demonstrate the greatest energy savings at school and home will have the chance to win fantastic prizes for their school sponsored by Housing Executive and Power NI. Prizes include a top prize of up to £1000 to be spent on a sustainability project to benefit the school and 1 laptop awarded to the next five schools with the highest energy saving. 

The schools’ challenge 

 Over the course of any week from Monday 18 November to Friday 10 January (Monday to Friday) we are asking schools to count how many energy-saving daily tasks their pupils have completed at home.
